ABOUT P.S Higher Secondary School

P.S. Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, Chennai, which was started on 13th January,1905, owes its origin to the munificence of Pennathur Subramania Iyer,  Attorney-at-Law and a farsighted philanthropist of Mylapore,  who had bequeathed his entire property in 1899 for the founding of P.S.Charities with the object of providing national education that would inspire our youth with high ideals of patriotism and reverence for our ancient national culture.
The School has had a galaxy of eminent Headmasters and teachers for several years in succession who built up a sound traditions of high learning coupled with exemplary conduct of school children. It also has the privilege of claiming amongst its alumni of many distinguished judges, lawyers, administrators, civil servants, industrialists, doctors, engineers, charted Accountants and other eminent persons in public life.
        Located in a spacious setting in Mylapore, our school is noted for providing value based education and for its rich heritage in arts, culture and pursuit of morals.
