Shri R.Sivakumar

I was a student of the P.S.High School from 1962 to 1968.  In one of the meetings, the Commissioner of Police began his address as ‘Students of the great and glorious School’. All of us clapped continuously for five minutes. Unforgettable memories. Thanks to Pennathur Subramaniam Iyer, a great visionary, the school continuously holds its prestigious place in Mylapore.  I cannot forget those years when the teachers were strict inside the classroom and highly compassionate outside the class room. In particular, I would like to mention Shri Kuppuswamy Iyer, Shri Narasimhachariar and Shri Harihara Sharma.  Apart from the subjects they taught, they were role-model for integrity, honesty and humility.  These qualities helped me in my career as a Chartered Accountant and as a Teacher.  The Educational system has undergone big changes and today there are many challenges in imparting quality education. I wish my continued success in preserving the culture of the school and  at the same time improving the quality.
